Noel, an authentic dry stone village house built a few centuries ago, situated
in the heart of Lagnes, a delightful small Luberon village of about 1,200
inhabitants. Surrounded by wonderful countryside and walks, Lagnes is an
ideal village from which to explore the Luberon and surrounding villages
and towns. The village boasts a ruined chateau and some of the best walks
in the area.
Set
just the back from the village square, the house is 50 metres from the
local Tabac, 100 metres from the Epicerie, they sell wonderful meats and
homemade sausages, Boulangerie and La Poste, about 200 metres from the
L’Auberge du Lagnes and the Pharmacie. There is also a small farmer’s
market in the square on Friday mornings.
The
house has been recently restored and provides extremely comfortable accommodation.
A great combination of old meets new with stylishly renovated bathrooms
and tastefully decorated sitting room, kitchen and bedrooms.
The
accommodation comprises a traditional layout of centre hall with large
sitting room with fireplace and cable TV to one side of the house, the
other side opens to an incredibly large well equipped kitchen and dining
area with doors opening to the front terrace. There are two staircases
to the first floor where you find a large master bedroom (queen) with
en suite shower and door to private back garden, second queen bedroom
and a twin bedroom. The second bathroom is spacious and both bathrooms
are newly renovated.
At
the front of the house is a wonderful terrace, well furnished and an idyllic
spot to enjoy a glass of wine or meal. There are 2 gas barbeques, one
for the front terrace and one for the back garden. The garden at the back
of the house is very private and enjoys the sun all day.
